International Martial Arts Academy offer traditional Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate (Organization: Okinawa Goju-Ryu Karatedo Kyokai), Okinawan Weaponry (Organization: Matayoshi Kobudo) and Kickboxing in Brackenfell.

We are also well versed with a lot of experience and gold medals in Sport Karate and Kickboxing. We love preparing athletes for the next tournament. We are also both highly skilled national referees in several disciplines.

All gradings, tournament achievements and other successes are recognized legitimately in South Africa as well as on an International level.

Karate is an extremely beneficial Martial art, teaching discipline, commitment, self-confidence, concentration and so many other great life skills. Karate is beneficial to children with ADD, ADHD, and with a diagnosis in the Autism groups.

We also offer movement education. This is a physical education class aimed at developing children's gross motor ability and learning through physical and movement education. We work on midline crossing, proprioception, strength, muscle tone, agility and balance. The children also get to meet new friends and grow their social skills, thus developing a more confident young individual.

We believe in teaching leadership as well as teamwork and encourage our students to be independent and curious. There are too many benefits to mention in one bulletin. Why not come and try for yourself!
